Her great-grandmother was a midwife. Her mother worked for an obstetrician. Long before Linda Frison became the first person in her family to attend college, she knew what she wanted to do: become a doctor and take care of women.
The University of Oregon School of Medicine provided the broad general medical education she sought; residency at Stanford University rounded out her training in obstetrics and gynecology. After many years of delivering babies, Dr. Frison is now focusing her practice on gynecology: performing surgery, solving diagnostic dilemmas and providing general well-woman care. Dr. Frison also helps with clinical research trials in hormone therapy, helping her to stay on the cutting edge of medicine.
Her patients appreciate her warmth, her accessibility, her unhurried approach, and her frank, straightforward style. “I like to make sure my patients totally understand why they’re doing something. Sometimes there are choices to be made; I can explain the choices, but the final decision is theirs.”
