Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
The NRP program offered at Sacred Heart Medical Center is an evidence-based interactive program that involves skills practice, interactive learning modules, and simulation. We take a team based approach designed to teach the technical, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for optimal management of asphyxiated newborns immediately following birth. The course assumes mastery of content knowledge by successful completion of the online examination prior to attending class.

We strive to make the simulation experience as real as possible. You will need to wear scrubs (or the attire you wear to work) to fully participate in the program.

Group classes may be arranged upon request.

Cancellation Policy: Due to class size limitations, registration fee is not refundable if cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to class date.

A FREE guided tour of the Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby rooms at RiverBend. We briefly talk about parking, hospital registration, and finding your way around RiverBend. We tour a Labor & Delivery room and talk about birthing practices/options available to you. Next we tour a Mother/Baby room (where the remainder of your stay will be). We also provide you with information on our classes we offer, as well as community resources available to you. We gladly answer your questions and will help you to determine how we can best support you during your hospital stay.
