| This group is hosted by volunteer, Marianne Brudwick, who lost her husband to a brain tumor and has personally navigated this journey. Having a loved one with a brain tumor can be very stressful and result in feelings of fear, anger and being overwhelmed. Caregivers are invited to attend this group to share practical information, gain understanding of the care giving experience and discuss feelings in a safe and caring environment. | |

| Cancer Transitions Program | |
| Completing cancer treatment can be a difficult transition for many patients. Cancer Transitions™ is a six-week interactive educational course that addresses many of the challenges cancer survivors face. Patients who have completed treatment and are cancer-free or have stable disease may be eligible for participation in this program. Classes will include healthy snacks, physical activity and guest presenters with expertise in different subject areas. Session 1 – Get Back to Wellness: Take Control of Your Survivorship Session 2 – Exercise for Wellness: Customized Exercise Session 3 – Emotional Health and Well-Being: From Patient to Survivor Session 4 – Medical Management Beyond Cancer: What You Need to Know Session 5 – Nutrition Beyond Cancer Session 6 – Moving Beyond Treatment: Next Steps Towards Survivorship What to Bring When & Where Registration is required. | If someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer, this group will be a place to receive support, explore how cancer has impacted your lives and learn how to cope with the challenges a diagnosis of cancer can bring. This group will share information, issues and insights in a safe and emotionally supportive setting. Anyone in the community who cares about someone who has cancer is welcome. | |
| Healing Through Creativity (Cancer) | |
| Offered to current patients and survivors with skilled volunteers of the Cancer Center teaching the class. Different painting mediums are offered to ensure participants have a good time and enjoy this experience. We meet every Wednesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center. The group is free with all supplies provided, but participants must be at least 18 years of age or older. | |

| Look Good...Feel Better (Cancer) | |
| A joint service of the American Cancer Society, Look Good...Feel Better is designed to teach women undergoing treatment how to use makeup, wigs and scarves to enhance appearance and boost spirits. Cosmetic samples and makeovers are available. | |

| Nutrition & Cancer Management | |
| Learn about the importance of nutrition during cancer treatment, including tips for managing treatment-related symptoms. Our registered dietitian will also discuss the role of nutrition in cancer prevention and recurrence. | |

| Us Too! Prostate Cancer Discussion Group | |
| Men with a prostate cancer diagnosis are invited to this educational and support meeting along with their spouse/partners. Discussion may include treatment options, side effects & other informative topics. | |

Visiting specialists provide Islanders with a full range of medical services. Experts visit regularly to provide you with comprehensive care, close to home. | |
| Yoga for Cancer Patients | |
| Yoga is offered to patients of the Cancer Center and mats are provided. Practicing yoga since 2003, Holly Davidson leads these classes. She is a certified yoga teacher and is currently studying Yoga Therapy. She has her own studio in Ferndale and is certified through the Yoga Alliance as an Registered Yoga Teacher. Holly believes the more we get to know our bodies, the better we are able to compassionately take care of ourselves and live each day more fully. | |
