State Medical Teen Labor, Birth and Parenting

For the safety of our community during the COVID-19 restrictions, we will offer this class using an internet platform through May 31st, 2020. To register, please go to the previous page and use the class entitled,"Teen Labor,Birth and Parenting." Please include you email, mailing address and phone number. We will send you class materials and instructions on how to join the online class.

Our Teen Labor and Birth class is specifically designed to meet the special needs of the expectant teen. Learn about the process of birth, breathing and relaxation skills for increased comfort, labor support skills, and medication and anesthesia options for pain management. Other topics include variations of labor, induction, cesarean birth, newborn care and feeding. We will also address issues such as goal setting, making decisions, solving problems and school issues.This class is covered by state medical insurance.

Please register for yourself only. Your registration includes space for one support person.

Parking for Family Birth Center
1) Enter from 87th Avenue on to 5th Street
2) Drop off the patient at the Family Birth Center entry. You may pick up patients at this location. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in this area for any longer than necessary to safely escort the patient into the Family Birth Center.
3) Park in the lots adjacent or to the north of the Family Birth Center. You may use spaces that are not marked or reserved. Exception: Patients scheduled for a Birth Center post partum or prenatal appointment may park in designated spaces.
