This is a class designed for those patients who are planning water birth as an option and are cared for by credentialed water birth providers in the community. There are specific quality and safety eligibility requirements to participate in the water birth program and for this reason this class is mandatory for water birth patients. It is best to take this class between your 28th and 37th week of pregnancy. A Labor and Birth Preparation class is also recommended(if this is your first baby).
For safety reasons, there are specific eligibility requirements. Not all providers perform water births. If interested, check with your provider.
