ServSafe Manager Training Course

Alaska regulations require food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager on staff. The ServSafe Manager program helps prepare you for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam. Training covers these concepts:
•The Importance of Food Safety
•Good Personal Hygiene
•Time and Temperature Control
•Preventing Cross-Contamination
•Cleaning and Sanitizing
•Safe Food Preparation
•Receiving and Storing Food
•Methods of Thawing, Cooking, Cooling and Reheating Food
•HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
•Food Safety Regulations

This course includes 8-hours of home study in addition to 8-hours of classroom participation followed by a one hour certification exam.
This class requires completion of an 8-hour home study prior to the classroom session. Upon registation, participants may obtain the ServSafe Manager Course Book from the KMC Education Training Center located on the second level of the Plaza.
