Preparing for Birth - Tuesday series: Private Insurance Registration

Description: This course meets every Tuesday night for four (4) weeks. Learn about the wonderful process of birth and how to survive those first few weeks at home with your new baby. These four weeks prepare you for both. Topics include breathing and relaxation techniques, the partner’s role, the labor process, medications including pain management options and cesarean birth. Other topics covered are variations of labor, newborn care and procedures, breastfeeding basics, and life after baby. A tour of the Birth Center is included. Registration includes one support person. Register and plan to take this class during the last two or three months of your pregnancy to ensure class completion before your baby arrives. Class is open to any community member regardless of where they are delivering. Prerequisite: Register on-line with VISA/MC/Debit card.
