For the safety of our moms and babies, all class registrants are required to be vaccinated against the measles.To use state medical insurance to pay for this class you must fill out the Pre-registration Patient Questionnaire form.
THREE options for filling out your Maternity Pre-registration form:
- Register now for a Family Birth Center Tour. Choose a date prior to the start of your Labor and Birth class. You will have an opportunity to fill out the form during the classroom portion of the Tour.
- Print and return a Maternity Pre-registration form prior to the start date of the class. You may then e-mail it to fbced@swmedicalcenter.org, drop it off at the Birth Center or mail it to:

- Call Patient Registration at 360-514-2421 and let them know that you'd like to fill out your Maternity Pre-registration over the phone.
In a Holiday rush, we have decreased this class to 4 nights and added a half hour each class. In this class you will be taught valuable information to help you through labor, birth and the first few days of having baby at home. Learn about the birth process, hospital procedures, relaxation techniques, medication and intervention options for birth, cesarean birth, newborn care and breastfeeding basics.
Register for classes around your 24th week of pregnancy. This will help insure space availability and that your class to finishes before your due date.
BRING TWO OR THREE PILLOWS AND A BLANKET FOR RELAXATION EXERCISES.
