Light Up A Life Event
Back to class list| Description: | The public is invited to Peace Harbor Hospice’s annual Light Up a Life celebration on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 2-3:30 p.m.at the Florence Events Center. This fundraiser allows a person to purchase a star in remembrance of someone who has passed away or to honor someone who has made a difference in their life. “Light Up A Life is our major fundraiser for the year,” Becker noted. “It is also a ceremony that lets the community come together, along with families who have been touched by loss and the Hospice community, to honor those who have passed away.” The event is free and refreshments will be served following the ceremony. Light Up a Life donations can be made “in memory of” or “in honor of” a loved one and an inscribed star will be placed on the lighted tree. Placed separately on a table will be an inscribed Star of David in memory of or in honor of a loved one, upon request. Stars will be given to donors as a keepsake, and donors may request an acknowledgement card be sent to a family member signifying the donation and remembrance.
