Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Back to class list
Description:The NRP program offered at Sacred Heart Medical Center is an evidence-based interactive program that involves skills practice, interactive learning modules, and simulation. We take a team based approach designed to teach the technical, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for optimal management of asphyxiated newborns immediately following birth. The course assumes mastery of content knowledge by successful completion of the online examination prior to attending class.

We strive to make the simulation experience as real as possible. You will need to wear scrubs (or the attire you wear to work) to fully participate in the program.

Group classes may be arranged upon request.

Cancellation Policy: Due to class size limitations, registration fee is not refundable if cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to class date.
Prerequisite:Study the material in the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 6th Edition (2011). When you feel you have mastered the required lessons, complete the 6th Edition online evaluation through the AAP/NRP website (http://www.aap.org/nrp/default.html). Cost of the exam is approximately $26.00.

Printed verification of successful completion of the online exam is required for entry into the class.
