Tai Chi for Balance
Back to class list| Description: | Introduction to the eight forms of Tai Chi, designed to help improve balance and prevent falls. All movements adhere to fundamental principles of Tai Chi, involving weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing stances, body alignment and coordinated movements. Taught by Suman Barkhas, Certified Yoga Therapist. Mondays and Fridays, 2:30-3:30pm. Located in the Group Exercise Studio, first floor of the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute. Pre-registration and payment required prior to participation. 10 classes for $60. No refunds and non-transferable. Register at the front desk of Cardiovascular Wellness & Rehabilitation or call (541) 222-7216. Free orientation class every 2nd Friday of the month from 3-4pm in the Group Exercise Studio. |
