Dr. Cotterell was raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his Medical Degree from Creighton University in 1984 and went on to complete his internship and residency there as well. Dr. Cotterell then completed his fellowship in Clinical Nephrology and Hypertension at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1990, where he also completed a one-year fellowship in Transplantation Medicine.
Dr. Cotterell lives locally with his wife and four children. He coaches soccer and enjoys the outdoors.
