PJ Peterson was born and raised in this community. She attended Kalama schools, Lower Columbia College, and the University of Washington before ultimately fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a physician to "help people" like her mentor, RL Pulliam, Jr. MD. After graduating from University of Utah College of Medicine in the top 10% of her class, she completed an internship and residency in Dallas, Texas, at Parkland Memorial Hospital (associated with University of Texas Southwestern Medical School). She returned to Longview to be able to "give back" to her hometown community, as well as to be closer to her family.
She is active in Medical Staff Affairs and has served in many capacities. Currently she sits on the Lower Columbia Governing Board.
She enjoys playing classical piano, sings in her church choir, plays tennis, and loves being a mom to her teen-age son. She also helps her husband, Steve Jones, currently Scoutmaster for Troop 385, with Scouts. She enjoys being a part of our community and loves her practice as a physician.
