PeaceHealth recognized for outstanding contributions to United Way

7/7/2014

PeaceHealth has received multiple awards for its contributions to the 2013 campaign of United Way of the Columbia-Willamette.

Contributions by PeaceHealth caregivers and providers totaled $53,308. The organization also contributed a gift of $5,000.

PeaceHealth partnered with United Way because it is dedicated to improving community health, specifically by grant-making that breaks the cycle of childhood poverty.

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette serves Clark County and three other counties of metro Portland-Vancouver. The need here is significant. According to recent reporting by The Oregonian, 40 percent of children in the metro area are in families with incomes at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

At its gala on June 25, United Way presented the following awards to PeaceHealth:

Campaign Chair’s Award “This is for running a spectacular campaign from start to finish that yielded phenomenal results for the first year out of the gate.”

Best New Company Campaign “PeaceHealth’s campaign was a textbook example of what UW looks for in a new business partner. There was top-level management involvement; they set goals, used promotions and incentives, and used a strong communication program.”

Largest New Corporate Gift "This is based on PeaceHealth’s contribution of $5,000."
