Much-needed progress in reducing C-sections
PeaceHealth is part of a national effort to reduce the amount of babies born by cesarean section, and Southwest Medical Center is already seeing results.
The Columbian reported on the hospital's progress and interviewed patient Sarah Barber, who gave birth to her daughter Brooke on March 28 at the Southwest's Family Birth Center. Barber was one of five women with previous c-sections who delivered babies vaginally at the hospital that weekend.
