The Gerontology Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center is a full-service senior health program that addresses the specific health requirements of older adults. Patients receive the attention of a dedicated team of specialists who work together to determine a care plan. The patient-centered program includes advanced clinical care, research, education and cooperation with community services.
Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Program
In the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Program at Sacred Heart, University District a multidisciplinary geriatric team helps older adults maintain their independence and prevent physical and mental decline during treatment of acute illnesses, with the goal of quickly returning patients to their normal living situations and routines.
