Medical Detox - 360-734-5400 ext. 2205 (located at St. Joseph Hospital South Campus)

1. Alcohol withdrawal- history of complicated withdrawal, seizures or D.T.’s, medical conditions.
2. Opiate withdrawal- with medical complications
   These patients must be 100% voluntary, able to tolerate oral medications and fluids, medically stable and require minimal assistance with ambulation and Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).
   • Due to limited bed space we do not accept Detox referrals for non-Whatcom county residents.
   • Admission to Medical Detox: arranged by referral via Emergency Department or Private Physician’s office.
   • Patients coming from physician’s office must have current H&P and Lab values (CBC, Comprehensive . Metabolic Panel, T-4/TSH)
