About St. Joseph Hospital

St. Joseph Hospital is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace since 1891. We return all proceeds to the community in the form of improved health care services, technology and facilities as well as care for the underserved.

St. Joseph is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), which is recognized in the United States as the “ultimate” seal of approval. JCAHO is an independent body which sends physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to personally inspect and evaluate more than 5,200 of the nation’s hospitals. St. Joseph is also accredited by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse and Mental Health.

Accreditation means that we are committed to quality and meet stringent performance standards for patient care.
