As we move forward with
achieving Vision 2012 and acquiring the assets of Madrona Medical Group, I
am excited to share with you the most recent news. The Madrona shareholders
have approved the proposal for purchase and Erick Laine, MD, Madrona Medical
Group CEO has accepted the position of Regional Vice President for
PeaceHealth Medical Group.
Dr. Laine will provide
key leadership and structure as the Whatcom Region grows into an integrated
healthcare delivery system. We are very pleased to have him as a member of
the PeaceHealth Whatcom Region Executive Team. His expertise as a physician
and an executive will be an asset in helping our patients receive safe,
evidence-based, compassionate care; every time, every touch -- in the
physician office setting as well as the hospital.
Dr. Laine is slated to
start his new role July 1. An organizational chart is in development and I
will share that with you when it is complete.
