Accredited support services
Laboratory

Northwest Regional Medical Laboratory, a service of
St. Joseph Hospital, is inspected and accredited by the College of
American Pathologists. This certification is highly respected for its
challenging standards and other accrediting organizations accept it in
lieu of conducting their own inspections.

All of the lab’s pathologists are certified by the
American Board of Pathology. Two pathologists also are certified by
the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Rehabilitation

The Center for Rehabilitation at St. Joseph Hospital
is certified by the Council for Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities, which inspects standards of care for patients who are
recovering from stroke, injury or serious illness.
Trauma

Our Trauma Program has Level II designation, the
most advanced Washington State certification north of Seattle. This
means St. Joseph Hospital has met or exceeded standards for staff,
technology and systems needed to provide rapid, coordinated,
comprehensive care to patients with life-threatening injuries.
