SVP, Legal Services
"I think of my grandfather, who was a
carpenter, when I think about alignment. Because when he’d
build a structure, he would select floor joists and
site-down every one of them to make sure they were straight
before he’d use them. Then, when they were all laid out,
he’d use his chalk line and level to make sure every joist
would support the structure evenly, so that everything would
align. We don’t use floor joists at Peace Health, we use
people – we select people. And we need them to be the
right people with the right characteristics. We also don’t
use a chalk line and level. Instead we use our mission and
operational planning to make sure everybody is evenly
supporting our structure as we move forward..."
