How many calories do I need? The following guidelines will help
you estimate the number of calories you need to achieve or maintain a
healthy body weight.
Determine a recommended weight for you by using this guideline:

100 pounds for the first 5 feet of your height plus 5
pounds for each additional inch |
| Men: |
106 lbs for the first 5 feet of your height plus 6
pounds for each additional inch |
| If you would like to lose weight, use
your desired or recommended weight for the following
calculations. If you wish to maintain your weight, use your
current weight. |
