Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Welcome to the MRI Department
While there are no specific patient preps needed for MRI exams, there are a number of things to be concerned with.
Please go over the list of items below and notify Radiology prior to scheduling your exam.

Please notify us if you have had any of the following:
a) Heart, Brain, Eye or Ear Surgery
b) Stents, ports, valves, pumps and/or medicine patches
c) Pacemaker
d) Gunshot wounds or shrapnel (Southeast Asia especially)
e) Machinist or sheet metal worker, welder or fabricator
I.V. Pumps, Tele Units, PCA's, Pacemakers and any other electronic devices are not compatible with the MRI unit. Damage to the unit and/or patient is likely.
