A: Yes. Employees may choose among three medical plan options, as well as dental and vision coverage. Employees may also participate in flexible spending accounts by depositing pre-tax dollars into accounts to offset uninsured medical claims or dependent care expenses.

Q: When do medical benefits become effective?

A: On the first day of the month after date of hire in a benefits-eligible position (at least 20 hours/week).

A: Life insurance for employees and their dependents, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D) for employees. Employees may opt for additional life insurance (for themselves or their dependents) or AD&D insurance. Long-term disability coverage is provided at no cost to employees.

Q: Does Peace Harbor offer a retirement savings plan?

A: Yes. Beginning on your first day of work, you can save a percentage of your pay in a tax-deferred annuity (TDA) and receive certain tax advantages. On the January 1 or July 1 after you have worked for at least six months, you'll receive matching contributions to your account if you save at least 2% of your pay in the TDA and meet the age and service requirements.

On the January 1 or July 1 after you have completed at least three years of service and have met all other eligibility requirements, you'll also become eligible to receive PeaceHealth-funded base plan contributions. You own (or are fully "vested" in) your own contributions as well as Peace Harbor’s matching and base contributions as soon as they are deposited in your account.

A: Yes. Eligible employees are provided with a generous paid time off program that combines vacation, holiday, and sick days. The program gives employees the flexibility to use paid time off as they determine it best fits their needs and desires. It also provides more paid time off than traditional vacation/sick day plans for employees who are not often ill.
