Q. Can clinic and hospital bills be paid by credit card?
A. Patients may pay their PeaceHealth Medical Group, Peace Harbor
Hospital, and Sacred Heart Medical Center bills by phone using
VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit cards. When calling to pay your
account via credit card, please have your account number available to
insure that your account will be properly credited.
Patients may also use any of the satellite clinics during regular
business hours, Monday through Friday, to pay their clinic accounts.
They may also pay at Urgent Care, located at the PeaceHealth Medical
Group Main Clinic at 1162 Willamette Street, after regular business
hours until 11:00 p.m. including weekends.
Hospital bills can be paid in the main lobby of Sacred Heart Medical
Center or in the Outpatient Department located on the 3rd floor.
A financial counselor is also available.
Q. Am I able to pre-register before arriving at the hospital?
A. Patients may pre-register before being admitted to the hospital as
well as for outpatient procedures. Insurance information, demographic
information and next of kin information should be available. The number
to call is 541-686-7166; if out of the area, call 800-288-7444 and ask
for Pre-Registration.
Q. I have accounts at Sacred Heart, Peace Harbor Hospital and at
PeaceHealth Medical Group. Is there a way I can only make one payment
each month instead of paying each facility?
A. Patients may combine balances from Sacred Heart Medical Center, Peace
Harbor Hospital and PeaceHealth Medical Group for one balance by
purchasing a bank contract. Payments would be made to the bank, thereby
eliminating the need to pay each facility. This is a pre-approved bank
loan with a 15% simple interest rate. Financing is available on balances
of $200.00 or more; minimum terms are 12 months, the maximum term is 48
months. A down payment equal to the monthly payment is required; there
are no set up fees and no pre-payment penalty.
Q. If payment in full by my due date is not an option, are there
payment options available for me?
A. Please call your customer service representative at the number listed
for payment arrangements or options.
Q. What are the charity guidelines at Sacred Heart Medical Center?
A. If all other options are not possible, patients will be asked to
complete a financial summary form. This form lists family size, annual
gross income, expenses, net worth and employment status as well as
future earning potential. All these factors are used to determine
charity care and need to be approved by the Director of Patient
Financial Services and the Regional Vice President of Finance.
Q. Why am I receiving two bills for my emergency room visit?
A. Sacred Heart Medical Center bills for the facility portion of the
service only. Eugene Emergency Physicians has their own billing service for
the professional (doctor) charge. We can assist you with the hospital
portion of your bill, but you must call Eugene Emergency Physicians
concerning their bill.
