What to expect in the Emergency Department
Patients arriving at the Emergency Department are first seen by a registered nurse who has received special training in triage. This nurse will evaluate the patient’s illness or injury and determine the urgency of the patient’s need. The Emergency Department staff works closely with other hospital departments and services, including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, Oregon Medical Laboratories and Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute to provide the best possible care. |

Many Emergency Department staff members are fluent in Spanish. Interpreter services are available in Spanish and other languages 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
