 A Comprehensive Weight Loss Program
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, 30.5% of adult Americans are
obese and 64.5% are overweight
or obese. In Lane County, Oregon, there are as many as 13,600 residents who could benefit from
weight-loss surgery.
To address this public health concern, Sacred Heart Medical Center is now offering surgical weight loss services (also called bariatric services) through a comprehensive program. The Oregon Bariatric Center at Sacred Heart Medical Center is a brand new facility and the first in the Willamette Valley to offer a comprehensive surgical weight loss program.
At the Oregon Bariatric Center, you will be treated by highly experienced bariatric surgeons
and staff from multiple medical fields. The surgical program offers treatment within the environment of a
regional medical center. This means easy access to a nationally recognized diabetes wellness program, a sleep disorders lab, and proximity to one of the busiest and most respected cardiac and vascular centers in the Northwest.
