More than 1,000 patients, doctors and nurses spent thousands of hours providing input into the design of Sacred Heart at RiverBend to ensure the creation of an environment that is both patient-centered and efficient.
Community members, many from Sacred Heart’s Patient/Family Council, served as members on more than 120 clinical process teams providing input from a patient’s perspective on topics such as the design of the patient room, surgery registration and simplifying the patient discharge process.
To learn more about the patient input process, please see the following video clips of members from the Patient/Family Council. These interviews were taped after the group toured the new hospital for the first time in March 2008.
