Sacred Heart Medical Center is among exclusive company with its listing on the Cleverley + Associates’ Community Value Index™ as published in the
“State of the Hospital Industry – 2007 Edition.”

|
The Community Value Index is a list of hospitals around the nation that are top performers in three core areas of evaluation:
Measurement in the three evaluation areas suggests that hospitals operating with a high degree of community value are those that are low cost, low charge, and use a strong financial position to reinvest back into the provision of care at the facility. Each area contains metrics that compare a hospital’s performance to an appropriate peer group. The combined performance in each area is the Community Value index score.
Hospitals that score in the top 20% are designated “Five Star” facilities. A subset of this group is the “Top 100” which contains the highest scoring facilities in the country. Sacred Heart Medical Center has achieved both of these designations.
This is the fourth year that Cleverley + Associates has generated the list. Sacred Heart
has been a Five Star hospital every year and has been listed in the Top 100 in 2004, 2006 and 2007.
This year, Sacred Heart is the only hospital in Oregon in the Top 100 Index.
