Trauma Nurses Talk From the Heart
is an injury prevention program designed specifically for children and young adults. The program emphasizes safety and attempts to communicate the severity of the consequences associated with behavior that invites injury. An actual Emergency Department nurse will share with the audience real life stories and slides that demonstrate the results of careless behavior, as well as injury prevention possible with safe behavior. The goal of the program is to give students the tools to recognize potentially harmful situations and behavior that supports injury prevention.
