When caregivers provide extraordinary support and compassionate care during hospitalization, many patients and family members want to express their gratitude. And it’s appreciated. As one Sacred Heart caregiver noted, “Providing compassionate support is part of being a caregiver. That’s what we do. Learning that we’ve made a real difference to a patient is the greatest reward we could receive.” 

Now, patients and family members can initiate recognition of their special caregiver as a Guardian Angel. With a donation of any size, you can acknowledge the efforts of the caregiver who made a difference during your hospital stay. As a non-profit hospital, Sacred Heart relies on your donations to sustain these programs. 

Any caregiver who makes a difference can be an Angel. Each caregiver who is recognized by patients or family members will be honored as a Guardian Angel during a special presentation among peers and will receive a Guardian Angel pin, a photo of the presentation, a Guardian Angel certificate, and recognition in hospital publications. These include the Guardian Angel Herald, which highlights why our latest Angels were recognized.

Recognizing An Angel
Here is how you can honor the caregiver who made a difference to you:

• Print and fill out a PDF version of the form and mail it to:

• Pick up a recognition form in one of the special mailboxes located across from the Sacred Heart cafeteria and throughout the hospital. Completed forms can be deposited in the boxes or mailed to the address above.
