You entrust us with your information in order to support the clinical and community healthcare programs of Sacred Heart Medical Center. Our priority is to help you support these programs while safeguarding the information you provide to us.

Information Collected
When you make a gift to Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation, we ask for information about you in order to process your donation. This information includes your name, address and phone number, as well as your credit card number and expiration date if you are making an online or credit card donation. When supplied, we also collect information regarding your interest in other giving opportunities, such as planned giving, gifts of securities, and, if you are a Sacred Heart employee, payroll deductions.

Usage, Storage and Sharing of Information
We use this information in order to process your gift and to notify you that we have received your gift. We will also contact you if we have trouble processing your donation or require additional clarification regarding your gift. Finally, we may send you Foundation materials unless you indicate that you do not wish to receive them.

We follow industry standards as well as rigorous internal procedures to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, as you may know, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Once per year, Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation publishes a list to its web site recognizing all donors who gave to the Foundation in the previous year. In this list, we will include your name and the program or fund that your gift supported. We will not publish any information regarding the monetary amount of your donation. If you prefer to have your name left off this list, simply indicate when making your donation that your gift is anonymous. You may also contact the Foundation at any time for assistance at shmcfoundation@peacehealth.org. Anonymous donors will receive no public recognition, but will still receive a letter from the Foundation to acknowledge their gift and provide documentation for tax purposes. 

Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation never sells or distributes your information to other organizations. 

Online Security 
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, such as a credit card number, on our web site, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). (To learn more about SSL, visit http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/SSL.html).
