Sacred Heart Medical Center provides several therapeutic music programs designed to enhance the patient experience. Strings of Compassion offers harp music played by professional music thanatologists in vigils for the dying. Other volunteer musicians play piano and harp in the lobby and on patient floors. Other programs include a bit of harp music heard each time a baby is born in the hospital and televised programming to promote relaxation and healing.
