Patients benefit from a collaboration between teaching and basic research together with clinical care and clinical research. The result is a greater awareness and understanding of emerging trends and practices in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. Our member physicians partner with research teams at the University of Oregon to further academic research.

Several of our member physicians are currently engaged in clinical trials testing devices and medications that hold promise for improving care for heart and vascular diseases. All clinical trials are overseen by an Institututional Review Board.
