ranges consider the effect body weight has on disease and death. As BMI
increases, the risk for some diseases increase, including heart disease.

BMI does not identify amount or location of body fat. Some
athletes, individuals with a muscular build, pregnant or lactating women
may be incorrectly classified as overweight. Older individuals may
incorrectly be classified as underweight. Check with your physician or
