The majority of daily activities are focused on meeting the requirements of the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons for an accredited cancer program through the following activities:

  • Data collection
    • 629 analytic cases and 14 non-analytic cases were abstracted for the year 2008.
  • Quality management of data
  • Development and maintenance of registry policies and procedures
  • Statistical reporting
  • Timelines in data reporting to NCDB* and WA State
  • Initiation of TNM staging for all appropriate cases
  • Successful 94% current follow-up rate of all analytic cases from our reference date of 1975
  • Successful 96% current follow-up rate for all analytic patients within the last 5 years
  • Provide data for patient care evaluation studies.
